A boute de souffle (1962)

2. Throughout the film I found Michel patronising in the way he would speak to Patricia , I also found him quirky because in that area where people are still heavily religious nobody believed in astrology but he mentions reading a newspaper to check his horoscope. He was an honest man to some degree although he would steal and act out in an irrational manner, but in the manner he would speak to women about other women would always be disrespectful. He's quite a relaxed character because he walks at slow pace

3. Upon comparing Michel to other thriller protagonists I find him incredibly flawed in his decision making , he doesn't make wise sensible decisions he just acts upon how he feels at the time which later lands him in trouble for his outlandish decisions. Michel compared to Micheal Sullivan in Road to Perdition shows him as a man who is very selfish/

4. Patricia is represented as a head strong , ambitious woman who know's what she wants and how to get it and won't let anything get in the way of ruining her career. She dresses more casually and relaxed than other french women from the town, comparing her to the woman we see in the first scene who michel steals money from , you see a vast difference
