3 Logo's I constructed :

1st Logo

2nd Logo
3rd Logo
For the first logo I chose to incorporate different famous logo's to create my own. Y2K stands for Yaa to the Koranteng because my full name is Yaa Koranteng. Y2K is also a colloquial term for the Year 2000 which happens to be my favourite era. When I asked for feedback on the logo I created a survey and asked what logo people liked the most and the most popular was the 2nd logo I created ( Y2K - in a turquoise color) reasons being : simple but affective and also aesthetically pleasing.
The last logo I created was Sante because it is the name I go by, So I constructed the logo differently to the rest, I wanted it to be as simple and minimalistic as possible.
The colour and font clashes in the first logo so therefore it isn't easy on the eye, I took inspiration from a carbonated drink produced by the company A.G. Barr for the letter "K" (in Y2K). 65% of people that I asked to critically analyse the first logo said "The drink reminds me of KA drink" consequently I am going to have to change the "K" to something else because I do not want my production company's logo to remind people of a 50p fizzy drink. I enjoyed playing around with different fonts in Photoshop to create my wacky logo but I wont be using this as my production company's logo.
I added shapes to my logo to include more depth without making it 3D , I kept the font simple (Times New Roman) because you can never go wrong with that... Less is more. I chose my favourite color - turquoise purely because of what turquoise represents. The color turquoise is associated with meanings of refreshing, calming, energy, wisdom, serenity, wholeness, creativity, good luck, friendship, joy, tranquility and patience.
My last logo is the most basic but also bold, when getting feedback for this logo in particular, I got told it was "boring".
Improvements for my next logo :
For my next logo I will add an emblem of either - A star , A Rose or an outline of a cherry to go next to Y2K so there's something added to make it more visually interesting because upon looking back at my favourite logos from production companies like : Channel 4 and Netflix. Channel 4 especially stood out to me because of the various colors incorporated but there is still a simplicity of the number 4 to not make the logo look trashy and over complicated.
