Yesterday I went onto a field and experimented shooting the 180 degree rule. One of the most basic continuity rules is the 180 Degree Rule. The 180 Degree Rule states that two characters in a scene should always have the same left/right relationship to each other. I accidentally broke the rule when I started recording a conversation with two people on the left side but forgot myself and switched to the right side causing the footage to look disorientated. I also learnt how to Motion Track - Motion tracking is the movement of an object in which you then apply the tracking data for that movement to another object—such as another layer or an effect control point—to create compositions in which images and effects follow the motion. I decided to track the word "180 Degree Rule" to a green Balloon. I first created a text that I liked on Adobe Photoshop - removed the layers and therefore made it transparent then exported it onto Adobe Premiere and used Effect controls to add a motion tracker. I used the keyframes to plot the text to move exactly when the Balloon did. Here is an example of my first motion track

I felt that the motion track wasn't as tight and as smooth as I wanted it so I did it again knowing I can make it better by plotting each keyframe with the spacebar in order for it to flow better.

This is my improved Motion Track - where the keyframes are much tighter causing the subject "180 degree rule" to bounce around the frame much smoother than the previous video.

When filming this afternoon I used a green balloon as a green screen so i could use Ultra Key on Premier. It was my first time using Ultra Key.

Effects - Ultra Key - Drop on the clip

Use Eye dropper in effects controls.

One of the only problems i faced whilst using Ultra Key was that I could only use certain footage where the balloon had a deep green color, and not a neon one because the footage was overexposed.
