Week 1,
I was asked to create a short video using a maximum of 3 shots from different angles such as ; high angle , low angle, extreme close up and long shots whilst keeping the camera still. When filming scenes for "Lost in Technology" I used a variety of angles to tell a story of a young girl who is using her phone and as she gets up she slides her phone into her pocket but her phone falls out , and its only when she leaves and gets up she realises that her phone wasn't in her pocket and runs back to get it then firmly places her phone back in her pocket. The actress didn't want any close ups of her face so most of the shots filmed are medium close ups. I was filming in bright sunny conditions an and I tried to change the ISO on the camera but i was facing great difficulty subsequently some of my shots were very over exposed and so i put a B&W filter on the whole film. I especially like using a B&W filter when the subject is about technology as it adds a nice juxtaposition. Consequently when filming i'm going to take into consideration the weather because that can really affect the quality of your shots especially if the Weather is temperamental. Whilst out filming I tried to be as creative with the shots as possible , so i filmed the girl walking away from her phone that she had dropped by recording her from the reflection of the mobile. ( See picture below )

This was my first time using Adobe Premier , in the past i've only used Final Cut Pro although very similar its going to take me awhile to get the hang of the software. Whilst editing my film I included repetition and slow motion to emphasise the fact that the girl couldn't feel her phone in her pocket. Next time I go out to film I need to be more wary about continuity so it makes my film look smoother and flawless in the edit.
Here are some screenshots of different shot types I used in "Lost In Technology"

Today we watched a short clip about a Foley Artist - Gary Hecker. Foley Artists produce sounds that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. These sounds can be anything from the swishing of clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass. Whilst using their own resources to recreate the sounds.

I used a Tascam and a shotgun microphone to recreate my own sounds. I found the task quite easy but the problem I did face was trying to make the sounds i create come across how I wanted it to So now I know when I next create some sounds I will plan
